Hye-Soo was born in S. Korea where he obtained his Bachelor of Music degree (voice) from the Seoul National University.During 2000-2002 he studied at the Berl�n University of Arts and since 2003 he has been attending the Hochschule Dreden working under Prof. H. Petzold. Hye-Soo
has won numerous prizes in competitions includlng the first prizes at the 1998
Seoul National Singing Competition and the 2002 Internationaler Mozart
Wettbewerb in Salzburg, Austria, as well as prizes at the 2001 Concours
International d'Opera Ville de Marseille, France and Concorso Internatlonale di
Canto Maria Caniglia. Most recently in 2003 he won the first prize in the Opera
section at the Maria Callas International Voice Competition in Athens. He
has appeared in numerous opera roles as well as individual concerts and recitals
in Germany, Austria, Portugal, Japan, Russia and S. Korea. His most recent
engagements are with the Nuernberg State Opera House.
Elena was born and educated in Australia where she received in 2001 from the Victorian College of the Arts her Bachelor of Music Performance (Voice) with honours. In 2003 she completed her Master of Music Performance at the University of Melbourne. She is currently completing a graduate diploma of opera at the Victorian College of Arts Elena has won numerous awards and scholarships in Australia and in 2003 she obtained the first prize in Lied-Oratorio at the Maria Callas International Voice Competition in Athens. She has appeared in numerous roles in operas in Australia as well as in Russia and will be appearing in the role of Pamina in the Magic Flute at the Melbourne Opera. She has also sung in various venues in Australia and several of her performances have been broadcast.
Piano accompanist, born in Russia and graduate of the Moscow Conservatory under T. Nikolaeva. Since 1992 he has been the leader of the opera troupe of the Bolshoi Theatre, Moscow and is at present professor at the Sakuyo University in Japan. Valery has won prizes in numerous international competition and has appeared in several countries both as a soloist and accompanist The Maria Callas Competition for Opera and Oratorio-Lied This competition is presented by the Athenaeum International Cultural Centre in Athens, Greece. The Athenaeum, a non-profit institution, was founded in 1974 with the primary aim of fostering the artistic and cultural heritage of Maria Callas, the world-famous Greek opera singer.
