Evgeni was born in 1973 in Russia, received his musical education at the Kazan State Conservatory and then took postgraduate classes at the Moscow State Conservatory. He then returned in 1996 to teach at the Kazan Conservatory and in 1997 became a soloist of the Moscow State Philharmonic Society. Evgeni
has won prizes in various international piano competitions such as the G.
Eriksson in Sweden, the E. Pozzoli in Italy, the V. Safonov in Russia and the
first prizes at the 1995 A. Scriabin International Piano Competition in Russia
and lastly the 2002 S. Rachmaninoff ff International Piano Competition in Los
Angeles, USA. Evgeni
has given recitals and concerts in the USA, France, Germany, Italy, Austria,
Sweden, Norway as well as in several cities in Russia. He has worked with
orchestras such as the Deutsche Symphonie�Orchester and the Russian National
Orchestra under the batons of conductors such as V. Ashkenazy and M. Pletnev. His
CD discography includes the complete sonatas of Scriabin under the BMG-Melodiya
label. The
S. Rachmaninoff International Piano Competition was inaugurated in the
spring of 2002 gathering as jury members a most distinguished panel which
included Vladimir Ashkenazy, Byron Janis and Earl Wild. The competition will be
