Applicants are requested to participate in a preliminary audition by sending a digital video recording (in any standard format) of their performance, minimum 40 minutes long, which must include pieces selected, and as directed in the list below. (The pieces do not need to have been recorded all at the same time, and they can include selections from live performances, for example).

First Prize-winners of International Piano Competitions, members of the World Federation of International Music Competitions, will be automatically accepted to participate without having to go through this Selection process, provided they comply with other conditions of application to participate in the competition. However, given the new format the Competition is adopting, they will be requested to participate in Round I (Quarter Finals) of the Competition.
